The Alps Village Mystery Animal is a 2x2 decoration available in CityVille.
It costs 10 Cash to buy or can be obtained for free by clicking on the 
icon above the 
Alps Village Center (requires 3 Energy) or by clicking on the 
icon, selecting the Decorations tab, and clicking on the Post For Decorations! button at the bottom.
Requests may be made once every 4 hours and will only give you one Mystery Animal. Mystery Animal boxes are listed under Decorations in your inventory.
Place a Mystery Animal on the map and click on it. This will bring up a menu that shows what you need to complete the animal. Raising a Mystery Animal requires 4 of each Pine Nuts and Acorns. Acorns come from requests. Pine Nuts must be collected from any of the 12 Alps buildings.
Once the player has the 8 needed items they can grow the Mystery Animal. The odds of receiving one of the 3 rarer types are slightly improved as the Alps Village Center is levelled up. Each animal is a usable decoration.
All animals are currently listed as being Rare.
The top row can be bought for 5 Cash each.
They are the Dormouse, Red Squirrel, and Marmot.
The middle row can be bought for 10 Cash each.
They are the Alpine Chough, Capercaillie, and |Golden Eagle.
The bottom row can be bought for 40 Cash each.
They are the Chamois, Lynx, and Alpine Brown Bear.
