The Boat is a 3x2 cargo ship in CityVille. These can only be placed next to Piers and Export Ports.
It is available for free when a Pier is built to Level 1, with additional Boat's available on the the Shipping section of the Build Menu section for 100 Coins. Players can contract these out, exchanging Coins for Goods.
How to use boats[]
Boats must be attached to a pier. Unlike trains, a player can only buy goods using boats and cannot use them to sell goods. Each individual boat can only go to one place at once, and there are twelve places to choose from which all take different periods of time and return with different amounts of goods.
When a boat returns with goods, a player must use their energy points to collect the goods before they wither. However, San Francisco goods do not wither, like Strawberry crops.
Neighbors can unload another persons boats. Neighbors can also reduce the boats travel time by clicking on the boat. And neighbors can salvage goods that have been left too long on the pier and are now floating.
According to Zynga's Board all boats may now be stored in the Warehouse.
