The Famous Nightlife District is an area of the Lakefront in CityVille. This was officially released on November 9, 2012. Similar to the Downtown prior to the Downtown Value being removed, expanding into this area requires players to collect City Lights to increase their Light Level by 2 levels and have 40 Zoning Permits, rather than increasing the population by 5,000 and having 40 Zoning Permits. In order to expand into this area, players will have to first expand over to the cloud-covered area in the south-east corner of the Lakefront.
The first expansion can be unlocked after completing Task 3 of the 
Flash In The Pan Goal, which requires 
Light Level 5 (250 City Lights). Each expansion may contain different City At Night buildings, road segments and/or decorations, or be empty.
City Lights can only be collected from City At Night buildings during Night. Clicking on the switch below the Experience/Level bar at the top of the game interface will allow you to change between Day and Night.
