The Frozen Island is a unique type of island in CityVille. This was initially released starting with the Out In The Cold-icon Out In The Cold Goal. These are currently only available in a 3x3 size.

It is available for free when expanded to during the Out In The Cold, The Third Vacant Expansion!-icon The Third Vacant Expansion!, and Walrus Cliff-icon Walrus Cliff Goals. Players will receive 12 Frozen Islands with the first and third goals, and 11 with the second.

Currently you cannot buy more island spaces.

Player will have to expand to the Expansion tile they are one, as they will not get a free expansion from the goals. No buildings come with the island. You can add whatever buildings fit on it. Islands can be moved at any time, whether completed or not. They may also be put in storage, but will have to be rebuilt once placed back in the City. They cannot be deleted.

Businesses and residences can be connected to the City population with 1 square of Road - anywhere on the island - and some sidewalk touching it and each building. The Islands may also be connected to the mainland if placed close enough to connect both with a sidewalk or road section.

You must be XP-icon Level 15 to start the first quest that allows building an Island.

Completion[]

The Frozen Island pieces take Energy-icon 4 Energy to turn from Very Broken to Slightly Broken to Tarp. After that, each piece requires Snow-viral Snow and Ice-viral Ice to complete it. Snow is a Wall Post while Ice is a Direct Request. Players need to collect 4 Snow and Ice to finish each piece.

On March 13, 2014, the number of Snow and Ice was reduced from 16 and 12, respectively, to 4 each.

When initially released, Ice Key-icon 8 Ice Keys were also required to finish these.
